Jacki's Cheesy Garlic and Chive Potatoes

I made these potatoes tonight to go with some steak and salad.  They were quite tasty.  I did change a few things though.  I peeled the potatoes before I grated them for one.  My potatoes actually turned more into mashed potatoes probably because I peeled them and also because I didn't refrigerate them beforehand so they were softer.  I also didn't add any chives because I didn't have any.  Another term for mine could have been loaded mashed potatoes.  They made a good side dish. The picture doesn't look too appetizing but I forgot to take a photo when they were all plated up.
